Adam Yauch, known as MCA of the legendary Beastie Boys passed away today at the age of 47. I was a big fan of them during the 80s and 90s. They had a raw sound fusing Rock, Breaks, and Rap music. Although a white rap group was pretty rare in the 80s, they quickly built a solid rep and gained fame that followed them til this day. MCA had been diagnosed with cancer in 2009 and was undergoing treatment of the disease. It's unfortunate that such a talented artist has left us so young. You will be missed Adam.
